A s.394 (unfair dismissal) application from Joanne Campbell against the NSW Health Service – Western Sydney Local Health District has been dismissed by Fair Work Deputy President Mansini in Melbourne on 12 October 2021.

Jemalong Retirement Village has welcomed Mary Bromley and Desire Barroga to their management team. Catholic Healthcare had announced the appointment of a management team at Jemalong Residential Village including Mary Bromley – Residential Aged Care Manager, and Desire Barroga – Deputy Residential Aged Care Manager. Mary Bromley is an experienced aged care professional, with her most recent appointment managing an Aged Care Home in Cooma. Mary is a qualified Registered Nurse, having graduated from La Trobe University, Melbourne. She holds a Masters in Business Administration, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Dementia and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

RM Begg Aged Care Kyneton CEO Meredith Grant will step down from her role next month. Board chair Phillip Irvine said Ms Grant’s contribution to the home since she joined in 2007 had been significant, and she had been especially pivotal in ensuring services and care of the highest standard during that time. “Meredith’s resignation is a great loss to the organisation, but the board respects and supports her decision to devote more time to her own family after having given so much to RM Begg,” Mr Irvine said. “The Board is sure that the extended RM Begg community will join in thanking Meredith very much for her care and dedication, and in wishing her the very best for the future.” Ms Grant has led the organisation through difficult times, including the public disclosure last year of RM Begg’s serious financial challenges.
