The former head of Barwon Health’s cardiology unit has had his medical registration suspended after being convicted of possessing child pornography. Dr Alexander “Sandy” Black, who now works privately in Geelong, has been reprimanded and suspended for three months by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).

Nurses and midwives want to hear stories from patients in aged care across NSW about how cuts to healthcare have affected them. The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation, and the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association, have planned a national “phone-in” on June 18 for people to call with feedback and concerns about aged care.
