Up-and-coming indigenous leaders of North Queensland’s health sector have been honoured at a pre-graduation ceremony at James Cook University. There were 138 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who celebrated their achievements in front of their friends and family, leaving their handprints on paintings as a lasting legacy of their time at the university. The students graduated from nine undergraduate courses and four postgraduate courses including nursing science, occupational therapy, veterinary sciences, and public health.
