Two senior Queensland Health public servants face disciplinary action after being named in a report into the controversial decision to close the Barrett Adolescent Centre. In an email sent to tens of thousands of department staff yesterday, Queensland Health Director-General Michael Walsh said proceedings had begun against “a small number of current employees referred to in the report”. The employees involved are the department’s mental health executive director Bill Kingswell and the former West Moreton Hospital and Health Service’s mental health and specialised services executive director, Sharon Kelly.
