Three former disability support officers are suing Victoria’s Department of Health and Human Services for damages, alleging they suffered years of abuse at the hands of two people in their care. The workers said the violent attacks began about seven years ago when a severely autistic man was moved into the community residential unit they worked at in inner-suburban Melbourne.
