The next pay rise for WA nurses will not be backdated, leaving 15,000 out of pocket until consensus is reached on a new enterprise bargaining agreement (EBA), Health Minister John Day has confirmed. The EBA covering registered nurses and midwives expired on June 30 and negotiations have only just begun on a replacement agreement. The delay means a new agreement will not be finalised for several months at the earliest.
