The national president of the RSL, Rod White, has resigned from his role, almost six months after it was revealed he shared in millions of dollars in consultancy fees. Mr White was one of eight current and former NSW state councillors who received payments from the RSL’s aged care wing, Lifecare, while also serving as directors on that charity’s board. The NSW branch of the RSL is under investigation over its handling of this, and other allegations of financial misconduct.
