The boss of a Darwin aged care home says he regrets some residents “did not receive the standard of care and support to which they are entitled”, after the facility failed a spot audit. But details of Regis Tiwi’s failings won’t be available until next month, when the body responsible for its regulation, the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, releases its report into the facility. According to a statement from Regis Healthcare chief executive Ross Johnstone, the Health Department has imposed sanctions on the home.
