Police are on the hunt for a group of brazen thieves who targeted a Warwick retirement village overnight. At least two thieves reportedly forced their way into a construction zone at Oak Tree Retirement Village between 9.30pm and 10pm Sunday, using bolt cutters to break through the surrounding fence. Warwick police say the offenders then stole a laptop and tools worth thousands of dollars from inside the fenced-off zone. The tools were dumped on a nearby street and found by their owner shortly after the break-in, but the laptop is yet to be recovered. No suspects have been identified or charged at this stage.
