A Geelong paramedic has pleaded guilty to misleading the state’s corruption watchdog. Appearing in the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, Clare Barrand pleaded guilty to breaching a confidentiality order, and making a false or misleading statement intending to mislead the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.

Two patients have died during a gastro outbreak at an aged-care home in Brisbane’s south. A Metro South Health and Hospital Service spokesman confirmed its public health unit was informed on July 29 of a norovirus outbreak at a Yeronga facility, operated by Regis Aged Care.
