A man accused of using a stick to break the jaw of a security guard at the Yarrabah Hospital has been granted bail. Magistrate Robert Spencer said it was “debatable” whether Jyron Maynard Livingstone, 20, would be eventually given a jail sentence over the alleged attack and described his criminal history as “relatively minor”. He is yet to enter a plea to the charge of grievous bodily harm. Police argued, in an objection his bail, the November 10 incident had caused unrest in the community. The case was adjourned until January 17 next year.
