Australia Day awards were presented by Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor John Bowler at Centennial Park on Friday. Graham McGarry and Doug Daws of Masonic Homes were joint recipients of the citizen of the year award for their roles in developing the Killarney Street retirement village project. Board member Mr McGarry said the civil works were completed on the project and he expected the 49 units to be finished within 12 months.
