A Raglan woman in a critical condition is being airlifted to Waikato Hospital following a mobility scooter incident on Wainui Road. The 45-year-old woman was driving her mobility scooter on the road when she fell down a short slope, suffering life-threatening injuries, police said.

A person had to be decontaminated after almost 80 litres of sulfuric acid was spilt at the new Royal Adelaide Hospital. Just after 7pm on Monday fire crews responded to an alarm in a power generator room and found four large dry cell batteries had ruptured, the Metropolitan Fire Service says. One person was exposed to the acid and decontaminated at the scene.
