Queensland Health is refusing to guarantee the protection of Gold Coast nurses caught in a car parking disaster created by the Commonwealth Games, according to the State Opposition. It was revealed in a report today that nurses at the Gold Coast University Hospital would need to leave every two hours during hospital shifts to move their vehicles due to the lack of long term options. Staff have been told to salary sacrifice and book at the few available spaces left at an expensive on-site private parking facility.
