A s.185 (Enterprise agreement) application from Wonthaggi and District Elderly Citizens Homes Inc T/A Rose Lodge for the Wonthaggi and District Elderly Citizens Homes Inc (trading as Rose Lodge), ANMF and HSU Enterprise Agreement 2017 has been agreed by Fair Work Deputy President Masson in Melbourne on 9 January 2019.

A neo-Nazi group hung stickers depicting swastikas at the entrance to a Jewish old-age home in Melbourne. The neo-Nazi Antipodian Resistance organisation posted the stickers of their logo, which bears a large swastika, at the entrance of the Emmy Monash Aged Care in Melbourne, home to elderly Jewish community members including Holocaust survivors, in the heartland of the Victorian Jewish community. They were discovered by a man visiting his elderly parents at the facility last week.

Police are investigating an alleged indecent assault at an Illawarra aged care facility. The allegation involves a volunteer worker accused of fondling the breasts of a female resident, aged 75. Sources say the woman claims a man put his hands down her shirt during a bingo game at Warrigal Care’s Albion Park Rail facility. It is understood police will review CCTV footage from the facility and conduct interviews in relation to the allegation. Lake Illawarra Commander Superintendent Dean Smith confirmed police were investigating a claim in respect to the indecent assault of a resident, “which is of an historical nature”. “No person has been interviewed or charged at this time,” he said.
