The body of a pregnant Gold Coast nurse has been found dumped in a canal in India a week after she was kidnapped while visiting her parents, Indian police say. Ravneet Kaur, 29, had been working as a registered nurse at Tricare on the Gold Coast, before jetting off to India on February 25 on an extended holiday to visit family and friends with her four-year-old daughter. At four months pregnant Ms Kaur had travelled to Bagge Ke Pipal village, when on March 14, she stepped outside her parents’ home to take a video call from her husband, Jaspeet Singh, back in Australia. She was snatched off the streets about 11.30am local time and was never seen alive again. It is understood Ms Kaur was supposed to fly home to Australia on March 22.
