Warrnambool’s Mercy Place is in the grips of a gastroenteritis outbreak. Service manager Helen Paris said a resident first showed signs of the virus on Saturday morning. A doctor confirmed the resident had norovirus which has spread quickly through the aged care facility, affecting 30 of the 120 residents.
