The cyclist killed after she was hit by a truck outside the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital at Herston this morning has been identified as a nurse from the hospital. Police say Carolyn Lister, 50, was riding along O’Connell Terrace when she came to stop between a truck and another vehicle at traffic lights at the intersection with Bowen Bridge Rd just after 7.30am. “She was hit by the truck as it moved forward after receiving a green light,” police said in a statement. Mrs Lister has been described by her fellow cyclists as a very strong rider who had cycled in many places around the world.
