Former unionist Kathy Jackson is attempted to appeal a court judgment that found she had siphoned about $1.4 million from the Health Services Union. The Federal Court in Melbourne last month found Ms Jackson guilty of misusing her position as secretary of the union to fraudulently gain financial advantage. But Ms Jackson this week filed a notice of appeal, claiming Justice Richard Tracey denied procedural fairness by dismissing her cross-claim and her abuse-of-process application.
