A man has pleaded not guilty to involvement in a $1.65 million fraud of an organisation entrusted with the money of some of Canberra’s most vulnerable citizens. Donald Tawanda Savanhu, 36, appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday, pleading not guilty to 16 charges of obtaining or attempting to obtain property by deception.

The doctor who wrote the death certificates for Ballina’s St Andrews Nursing Home residents Marie Darragh and Isobella Spencer has given evidence in the committal hearing of Megan Haines.
