It was a Friday night when Megan Jean Haines was told several complaints had been made against her by elderly residents at a NSW North Coast nursing home. The following morning two of the residents who had complained about the 49-year-old nurse, were dead. They had allegedly been injected with a fatal dose of insulin. Ms Haines is on trial for the murder of Isabella Spencer, 77, and Marie Darragh, 82 who she allegedly killed while she was a nurse at St Andrews Village aged-care facility, Ballina.
