Hospital staff have been treated after being affected by capsicum spray when police were forced to use the weapon to subdue a patient’s partner. Police transported a woman to the hospital who was believed to be suffering from psychosis. It is believe the woman’s partner snuck into the emergency department and pushed over a staff member. The officers deployed capsicum spray to restrain the man, which led to staff suffering secondary exposure.
