Gordon Ballantyne says setting up Telstra Health whetted his appetite for the broader health sector but, in taking the top job at Healthscope, he has switched from a disrupter to an incumbent, defending weak earnings growth and share price disappointment. The well regarded former Telstra executive lost out in the race in 2015 to succeed David Thodey as chief executive.
