An elderly woman has been taken to hospital in a stable condition after driving into a retirement village at Castle Hill and suffering a head injury. The crash happened at the Anglicare Mowll Village on the corner of Broughton Ave and Barker Rd shortly before 3pm. NSW Ambulance said they were called following reports an elderly woman had driven into someone’s house. Paramedics arrived and treated the 84-year-old woman who was bleeding at the back of her head. However, she was conscious and breathing and was taken in a stable condition to Westmead Hospital. Anglicare said the woman was a visitor and no-one else was injured. The residents inside that building have been relocated until repairs can be completed.
