An aged care worker accused of killing two nursing home residents and trying to murder a third is allegedly a compulsive liar who posted a message on Facebook reading: “I hate old people”. Garry Steven Davis has been committed for trial over the 2013 deaths of Gwen Fowler and Ryan Kelly and the attempted murder of Audrey Manuel. All three, residents of the Summit Care Wallsend nursing home in Newcastle, were in good health when they were allegedly injected with lethally high doses of insulin, despite none of them being diabetic.
