A 38-year-old man charged with the murder of another person at the Gold Coast University Hospital on Sunday has been remanded in custody. Paul John Conoley was charged with murder after allegedly being involved in an altercation with Townsville man, John Francis Imber, in a bathroom at the hospital on the morning of Friday August 4. It is believed Conoley was a patent at the hospital but Mr Imber was visiting for another reason when they got into a fight about 8am. Mr Imber, 53, passed on Sunday after sustaining head injuries.
