A 30-year-old man accused of stabbing a nurse with a makeshift weapon at Royal Perth Hospital will remain in prison until his next court appearance. Justin Trent Narrier appeared briefly in the Perth Magistrates Court this morning, where his matter was adjourned until June 24. The Gnowangerup man was charged with aggravated assault of a public officer and possession of a controlled weapon in a manner likely to cause someone to be injured over the May 12 incident. Police allege the 55-year-old female victim was interacting with a patient about 1.30am when Mr Narrier approached her from behind and struck her with a makeshift weapon. The nurse suffered a stab wound to her neck and was treated at hospital overnight before being discharged.
