Prominent Tasmanian doctor Gary Fettke, who was banned from giving nutritional advice to patients, says he’s been cleared of all charges by the nation’s peak organisation overseeing health practitioners. The Launceston surgeon, who advocates “real food” instead of processed and sweetened food, had been silenced for many years after an official complaint about his views in 2014. Dr Fettke said he would now campaign strongly about nutrition following a decision by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency to drop all charges against him.
