Queensland’s corruption watchdog and health ombudsman have been asked to investigate a former government psychiatrist after he wrote a book about killers he once examined. Donald Grant has defended his decision to write ‘Killer Instinct’, a new book that draws on contact he had with 10 killers when he was working for Queensland Health. Queensland Health said it acted on a request from Health Minister Steven Miles to refer the matter to the health ombudsman, and to the Crime and Corruption Commission to consider “any issues of potential corrupt conduct”.
