Bronwen Ashcroft-Gawne has spent her whole working life devoted to the care of the aged. Having grown up in Narrandera and initially studied nursing at Charles Sturt University, she has recently become Dr Ashcroft-Gawne after completing a PhD. Dr Ashcroft-Gawne’s studies have focused on individual care in residential facilities, which she intends to continue to research. Dr Ashcroft-Gawne is currently writing a guide for elderly people making to transition from home to residential care, and their families.
