Police have raided the home of former union official Kathy Jackson as part of a multi-agency operation into union corruption. Several warrants were issued as part of a joint operation between Australian Federal Police and Victorian police. Officers raided her home at Wombarra north of Wollongong. Ms Jackson was ordered to pay almost $1.4 million to the Health Services Union after a court found she used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle to exotic overseas locations. It is believed the raids are part of operations headed by taskforce Heracles, which was created to investigate union corruption.
