Parts of south-east Queensland have received more than 200 millimetres of rain overnight, leading to flash flooding, swift water rescues and the evacuation of a nursing home as other areas keep a close watch on rising and already flooded waterways. Flooding saw residents of a Mount Coolum aged care home evacuated, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said.
