Dozens of residents have been evacuated from their nursing home building after a fire broke out in the basement. Fire and Rescue NSW were called to the nursing home on Spit Road in Mosman just before 7am after an automatic alarm went off. All 60 residents of the home were evacuated over concerns the fire would spread. Several fire trucks attended the scene, which has since been cleared. It’s believed the fire started in a plant room in the basement of the building.
